Plusle & Minun
- Fighter's
Biostats
- Full Name:
- Plusle and Minun
- Age:
- Pokemon age differently than humans; as such, it is
difficult to tell what one's age is.
- Race/Species:
- Respectively, Plusle and Minun. Technically, they could
be called electric rodents (specifically mice, but some might say
rabbits)
- Home/Nation:
- It varies, but the species was first discovered in
Hoenn.
- Friends/Allies:
- Pikachu and Jigglypuff. And each other, of course.
- Enemies:
- Mewtwo, Team Rocket
- Powers and Abilities:
- Plusle and Minun are unique Pokemon in that they can
greatly improve their power when together. It is almost essential that
the duo works together, as each one barely has enough strength to fend
for themselves, let alone fight in battle. Besides this, Plusle and
Minun also can channel electricity through their bodies.

Summary:
Plusle and Minun are among the more memorable Pokemon first introduced
in the third generation. Plusle and Minun took advantage of the
newly-legalized double battle system, a method of Pokémon battling
where trainers had two Pokemon fighting at once (or four trainers
teamed up and each released one Pokemon). By supporting one another,
Plusle and Minun proved to be the most dedicated duo around. It is
fitting that these two complement each other; as one may guess through
their names and appearances, Plusle channel positive electricity while
Minun channel negative electricity. Plusle and Minun offer a unique
style of fighting: while one fights, the other cheers on from the
sidelines. Each of the duo suffer from the disadvantage of receiving
twice the normal amount of damage dealt per move, but have the
advantage that the fighter can be switched out. Each of the duo has
their own damage meter (Plusle may have sustained 106% damage by the
time Minun reaches 38%). Also, before the duo can be considered knocked
out, both Pokémon must be knocked off of the stage. Minun can be left
fighting while Plusle is knocked off, but Minun's attacks will deal
less damage, and certain moves will be ineffective without a buddy to
root it on. In a way, Plusle and Minun fight like the Ice Climbers, but
they also function somewhat like the Pokemon Trainer. (Written

Plusle
& Minun's
Moves: - STANDARD
SPECIAL
Moves
- Charge
- Plusle or Minun create a small field of electricity,
making a small circular barrier that shocks anyone who tries to touch
Plusle or Minun. This barrier does nothing to prevent projectile
attacks, but deals a fair amount of damage on contact. While this move
is in use, the user cannot move.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Helping Hand
- The Pokémon in the background starts cheering loudly,
encouraging the fighting Pokémon to jump high. This move has absolutely
no offensive capabilities, but the fighting Pokémon jumps high. If
there is no cheering Pokémon, the fighter gains falters, gaining a tiny
bit of altitude.
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Spark
- Somewhat like a cross between Pikachu's Thunder Jolt
and Luigi's Fireball. The fighting Pokémon releases a small ball of
electricity that flies forward a fair distance before disappearing.
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Baton Pass
- The fighting Pokémon switches places with the cheering
Pokémon. The fighting Pokémon's damage meter will be replaced by the
cheering Pokémon's, but the previous fighter's meter will be exactly
the same as it was before it swapped out. Unlike the games, any effects
from items or smasher's moves will not be swapped over to the new
fighter, nor will any statuses be returned to the fighter who
originally had them when it retreated to the back. This move cannot be
used if there is only one Pokémon.
- FINAL SMASH Moves
- Discharge
- Plusle and Minun both huddle together on the field,
then discharge a huge store of collected electric energy, creating a
huge energy field. This effect lasts for a fairly long amount of time
before the duo exhaust their excess store and the cheering Pokémon
returns to its spot in the background. If only one Pokémon is present
of the duo, the move is still usable, although it is considerably less
effective.
