Joined the forums when they were still on BeSeen as the Message Board
City (he was originally seen canonwise though, outside of the board, in
the Valentine's Day Match); First acted as a SuperPower at the
beginning of Season 3, commentating half of the Romble Match, and
directly after commentating Match #70, a full match

Summary:
A yellow shelled Koopa Troopa with an odd past, Flip
has entered the fray of SSS to show off and make new friends. He
originated as a foot soldier of Bowser's,
one of the strongest in the fleet, but when he disobeyed the orders of
Kamek and injured Morton Koopa (causing Morton to suffer brain damage),
Flip was thrown into
the cell without a key. There, he met a group of vandals from the Black
Sugar Pirates, as well as a yellow yoshi, kidnapped for ransom from the
Yoshi Tribe, named Banshee.
The rag tag band, consisting of Flip,
Banshee, and the pirates Buckethead, Wanderin' Goom and Chef Chowder,
planned an elaborate escape from their imprisonment. Thanks to Goom's
hard head, they were able to smash the wall to the cell, and break free
of Bowser's fortress.
It is unknown what exactly occurred after their leaving, but when the
crew had finally hit land, they were two members short, and amazingly
stronger. It has been said that the three were taken in by a group of
island yoshies, who kindly nurtured them back to health and gave them
the protection that they needed. They were then sent off towards a
gleaming, promising town called Message Board City, and thus started
their adventures at Super Smash Stadium.
Flip himself carries
the abilities of the Koopa, able to bite and body slam at will. His odd
abilities to transform his energy aura into pure elemental devastation
are questionable at the moment, but it may have something to do with
the fact that his rage usually causes his eyes to burn bright red and
his shell to turn a shimmering silver. Flip
wears glasses as his vision has slowly begun to deteriorate; we're not
sure if that's related to his strange powers or his pupils shifting
colors, but he has to wear corrective lenses regardless.
All in all, Flip is
well-rounded in his abilities as a fighter: average speed, attack, and
jumping. His endurance is above average, and is really what sets him
apart. His moves are generally all physical, involving his shell or his
amazing beak, but he also may start using amazingly strong Plasma and
Earth based attacks if his rage ever peaks. Truly an intriguing, and
fear inducing, site to see.
Flip's Moves:
- B Moves
- Plasma Ball
- Flip swings his arm, charging this attack. Whenever he
feels like it, he will toss a good-sized ball of liquid plasma, which
will defy gravity and fly straightforward at high speeds. The amount he
swings determines strength, and the ball will shock and damage whatever
it hits
- *Plasma Ball Delta
- A much larger Plasma Ball which explodes upon impact
with anything. It moves much more slowly, but will hold in place and do
nice combo damage to anyone it hits, right before the fireworks blow
them away
- UP+B Moves
- Fury Slasher
- An odd variation of the Falcon Dive, Flip will do a
small boost into the air. If he grabs someone, he will hold them in
place and repeatedly slash them to shreds. They can break free, but
they will still suffer at least 15% damage before they can do so
- *Earth Crush
- Very cool. After grabbing the person, Flip will hold
them high above his head and flip them straight down into the earth,
creating a mini-quake and sending the opponent high into the air. This
can also be used Kamikaze style, making it very much Flip's trump card
attack
- FORWARD+B Moves
- Star Dash
- Fox's Illusion attack, only Flip leaves a trail of
stars behind. The stars actually do 1-3% damage if touched. Unlike the
Illusion, this attack actually allows Flip to cling to walls. Just ram
into one, and he latches on with his claws. This is a great way for
Flip to save himself when he falls, and can be followed up with a nice
wall kick
- *Saturn Kick
- Very strong attack. It's basically a Falco Phantasm, or
a much shorter, stronger Illusion. Flip actually leaves bigger rings
behind him this time (3-5%), and if he hits a wall, he will not only
cling on, but do an amazing kick that shakes off anyone hanging onto
it. This attack is also good for a Meteor Attack, as it knocks people
into the ground while in the air
- **Nearly-Invincible Attack
- Flip's desperation attack. Flip's shell will shift
colors and turn a shimmery silver, flashing colors of the rainbow.
He'll duck into his shell, and zoom forwards incredibly fast, shifting
directions and sweeping the arena floor clean with this unstoppable
barrage of offensive Koopa. If Flip is still unable to KO his
opponents, and the attack wears out (takes about 10 seconds), he will
fall out of his shell, dazed and paralyzed: a sitting duck. To add
insult to injury, since he's out of his shell, it can be picked up and
thrown away on him, leaving his defense to zilch. However, there is no
way to stop his attack while it's in use, so enemies better be pretty
quick on their feet if they know what's good for them.
- DOWN+B Moves
- Bumper
- Somewhat odd really... Flip will stand in place,
concentrating for a brief second. If he's disturbed during that time,
anyone that hits him or touches him will be smacked away by Flip's arm,
being set ablaze for some odd reason. Works a lot like Marth's Counter
- *Fire Crash
- Very interesting to watch. Flip will stand in place
concentrating for 5 seconds, and, if disturbed, he will open his palms
to the earth, and a large column of flame will burst from the earth,
surrounding Flip's body and sending tormentors hurtling towards the
sky. The column will split into two smaller spires, which will slowly
fade as they move away from Flip's body in opposite directions.
