The first new match in a while. It's time for King of the Stadium II! Here's the first match! -Metal Man
Again, more changes. We have a new site layout, sort of. With Saiyaman gone, his Random section will eventually be archived, but for now it isn't linked. The bar above will deal with site navigation. Also, please post on the forums if it bugs out or if you have any suggestions or ideas for SSS. We're listening. Finally, reactions/fan ideas are on a bit of a hiatus until we have a new automated system put up to add new ones with. -Metal Man
We're not dead, just working on the Season 5 finale. Hang on for a bit longer. Or just look at the arenas in SSS 101--they've been updated with some previously thought lost information from Season 2. Oh, and I'm the head SP now, just in case you missed it.
Here, have yourselves a Match 160. Complete with lots of plants, to celebrate the coming of Spring. The match is by Digi, of course.
We welcome the new year with Match 159!
Ho ho ho, enjoy Match 158 with your holiday festivities this month!
Now that all the turkey is out of our systems, please enjoy Match 157 for more food-related antics.
Match time, match time! Here's Match 156 for you today!
6 months to the day after my last post, here is Match 155 for you guys. More matches coming soon, too, since we're a little behind.
It's Match 152. Enjoy one Final Smash overdosed match!
Yeah, it's a tiny bit late, but here's Match 151. Enjoy!
Hey, folks. We're finally back in action after our break from the big Subspace Emissary storyline. So, let's get that ball rolling with Match 150!
Here it is, folks, the big finale! Thanks to everyone who stuck with us for this whole thing. We'll be returning to our regular format and matches soon.
Subspace Emissary part twelve coming up! One more to go, folks.
Know what time it is? Time for part eleven of the Subspace Emissary!
Part ten of the Subspace Emissary arrives with all the riveting plot twists that anyone who played the game probably saw coming.
Time to continue the Subspace Emissary. We're up to part nine now!
Faster than a speeding building, smarter than a locomotive, able to leap tall sandwiches in a single bound, it's part eight of the Subspace Emissary!
First, I'd like to welcome our newest SP, Light Bear, to the ranks of our writing staff. He'll be added to our Bios page momentarily. His work on fan stuff impressed all the SPs and he applied for the position. Speaking of which, there are a ton of additions to that section... And sadly some subtractions. The Regular Fan Fighters section is getting too big for us to handle so we had to cut some suggestions from that section, as well as Light Bear's contributions to it. Yeah, that kinda sucks, but it's either that or create a new page. However, from now on, we will only accept suggestion for video game characters who've have had appeared on a Nintendo System. While we love the suggestions of getting Optimus Prime, Master Chief, Spider-Man, or even Saiyaman's Dad into SSS, we are more likely to act on arena, item, and match suggestions much more quickly. Ciao!
It's time for part seven of the Subspace Emissary, now with a special guest star old-school Stadium fans are sure to enjoy seeing again.
Part six of the Subspace Emissary is now up for your viewing pleasure.
I moved the fan ideas to the fan section. Now the fan things are all together. Fan fan. Fan fan fan. Fan.
Happy 40th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing! While you celebrate that, be sure to enjoy part five of the Subspace Emissary!
Part four of the Subspace Emissary has just arrived. Prepare for more shocking plot twists that you never saw coming unless you played the game already!
Part three of the Subspace Emissary is now up. See, I told you things were going to move a little faster.
Now it's time for part two of our story. Don't worry, things pick up a bit to save time.
Here it is, folks! The storyline you've all been waiting for and we've been preparing for: The Subspace Emissary!
More fan ideas! Light Bear continues being the major contributor to the Featured Works. While I'd like to stay and praise him, I've been very busy this month. So busy Saiya had to help me on this update, so thank him for helping me get this update out.
Guess what time it is? It's new match time with Match 136!
We start the new year with some new fan ideas, because apparently, you still sent them in even when I asked you not to... But we got the problem fixed, so it's ok! However, it's time I explained what Featured Fan Ideas are. See, these ideas are ones that impressed the SPs so much that we decided to give them the star treatment. They are also ideas that are most likely to be added to the site officially as well. We now took the best arena and item ideas and gave them their own pages as well, in addition to the Fan Bios we've been getting. Light Bear continue with a Pokemon Theme this month, giving us bios for Blaziken, Team Rocket's Meowth, Plusle & Minun. He also sent in a bio for Amy Rose, while Speed sent in a better bio for Cloud.
Hey, kids, do you like SSS? Is it your favorite Super Smash Bros. fanfic site of all time? Now you - yes, YOU - could be a member of your team! Just send in a match of your own creation to this address and if we think your match is exceptionally well-done, you may get a chance to be an SP on this site! We'll be making our decision in a month or two, so do your best and send 'em in!
Ho ho ho, it's time for Match 135!
We figured out why we didn't get very many fan ideas last month. Apparently, the Ideas Submission form is acting a bit buggy, so we will not be accepting Fan Ideas until we can fix this issue. Thankfully, we do have some submissions in the backlog, and this doesn't affect sending Reactions to matches. I apoligize for any fan whose submission we did not put up, as we lost a few because of this bug.
We didn't get very many fan ideas this month, so we are going through our backlog. Light Bear wrote great bios for Bowser Jr, Espio, and Tails, and even SSS's very own Terri Tsukino sent in a bio for Blaze. However, we are confused about the bio for Cloud Strife we got from gtmaster08, but we think it's a bio for the Kingdom Hearts version of the character, and so gave him the appropiate pic. Lastly, no one is fooled from your submission, Simon Belmont.
Hey, I think we're getting some actual plot development this week with Match 134.
Hey, look, it's Match 133!.
Sorry that the the update to the fan ideas is late, but we have been putting up official bios for each of the eleven challengers as they appear in the plotline. Kudos to Light Bear who send us a boatload of stuff for the section... of course, apoligies also go to Light Bear and gtmaster08 as they sent in very good bios, but I really don't have the time to give every bio sent in the treatment. I can only give it to one, and that was given to Light Bear's Krystal Bio. However, I will try to post them next update, even if they don't get the treatment. However, in consolation I have sent Light Bear a proposal via email.
Season Five continues Match 132!

Sorry for the delay in the next match, but thankfully we have a revamp of the Bios Page for you! We ALL should know by now who the eleven challengers are. :)
Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, it's Match #123!

Yeah, even we couldn't leave you waiting a whole month to see the ending to this match. So, here's the rest of the King of the Stadium Match!
Okay, this one took a little longer than most people would've liked, but this is a special match we had to work a little harder to make. Enjoy our first King of the Stadium Match!
Match 115 is now up for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy, everyone!
Everyone! Do you love SSS and wish you could be on it? Do you have an idea of your own dream match that we just won't do? Do you absolutely despise the site and think you could do way better?
THEN NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!
In order to increase reader interest in the site we're opening up a contest. Readers will be given the task of writing a match in SSS style.
• Matches should be moderately long, but not too much. For a general idea, think: 3-life stock, 100 hp endurance, 5 minute timed, etc.
• Official SSS fighters only. Any commentators, rules, and item settings you want. Non-story related.
• As of now, color commentary style is allowed. Classic style is allowed as long as it's labeled as such and in prose format. We really need Metal's consent to actually put them in the classic section, though.
• Spelling counts, to a point. Minor spelling and grammar problems are tolerable and will be fixed in editing, but don't use that as an excuse to slack off.
• This contest is open to Meleeniumers, VGF's SSB board, and site readers.
• All submissions must be in by the end of this month. (September 30th)
• Contest entries can be e-mailed to Knight at firstname.lastname@example.org . Other SPs may take them too.
• Please include your name with your submission. Do not send as attachments. (I don't open attachments.) Be sure to include "SSS contest" in the e-mail's subject line or your e-mail may be deleted.
Submissions will be judged by all SPs for style, humor, and tension and the winner will be put up as an OFFICIAL SSS MATCH!
And now we haveMatch 114 for you to enjoy. Have at it, people!
Here you go, Match 113 for you just a hair earlier than usual. Hurray for us!
I've update many of the bios, along with finding two of Knight's bios, and one of Flip's bios, and I shall try to update four more tommorrow. Usually, the other SPs to do this updating stuff, but it seems no one wants to fix up the bios.
Okay, my bad there. Here's the real Match 112 for you. Enjoy!
Saiyaman made a rather big error with his match; it is 119, not 112! I have fixed that issue, though you'll have to wait for the other matches in-between...
Wow, this is a fast update! Match #119 (Was incorrectly referred to as 112 in this post originally) is now up, continuing the Triforce tournament.
Updating again; this time, we have Match 111. This one's written by Digifanatic. Also, sorry for making you wait so long on updates; not one but two match authors failed to actually do any work, so... yeah. Anyway, look forward to more frequent updates!
And today we have yet another Classic Match. Behold!
Boy, it's been a while since I put something on this page. Anyways, the Reactions section has now been updated after way too long. Feel free to take a look. I'll try to that once per month from now on.
Almost a month later, we have Match 110! Which is the fourth Triforce Tournament match. As you may know, it has Sonic vs. Waluigi. Read it today! -Metal Man
We ring in the New Year with Match 109! It's the third battle of the Triforce Tournament, and involves Mario vs. Marth.
And here I am again, this time to inform you that Kirby, Link, Pit, Mario, Megaman, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and Fox's bios have been updated. I'm unsure as to the timeline for the other bios being updated, but, rest assured, it will come up sooner or later.
Hello again; the massive, eight-character team brawl of Match 108 is up. Written by both me and Digi, it's... pure chaos. Finding those pictures was a doozy, too. Well, enjoy!
Match 106 of the Trifource Tournament has begun. And, with that, I bid you all a very fond farewell; This is my last update at SSS. I hope that the future for SSS remains very bright without me.
Hey, folks, we have another new match for you today. Hope you enjoy it.
It's a new month, and with it we bring a new match from Digifanatic. Cheers.
I apologize for the delay, but after some technical difficulties, Match 103 is now up and ready. Farewell.
This is Pat here! Welcome to Season 4. As you can see, the site has undergone a bit of a facelift. We hope you find the new formatting pleasant. We're kicking off the new season with Match 101, the beggining of an exciting new story arch that we at SSS are extremely proud of, and we hope you enjoy as well. More to come soon!
