Summary:
Professor Phillip Nathan Donald
MacBlank started out life as a
supporting character in a young boy's comic, taking place in a
dimension inhabited by stickmen. MacBlank's
role was the absent-minded
professor, creating various inventions, mostly with very little
practical purposes. In a tragic twist of fate, the young cartoonist
passed away, leaving the characters in his comic with nothing to do.
Eventually, the residents of the cartoon world decided to discover what
happened to their creator, to see if he left behind any hint as to what
to do now. The “Last Page” was eventually discovered, containing a list
of potential storylines “The Creator” had intended on pursuing, one of
which included putting MacBlank
in charge of the central town of
Placeton. Taking this page as undeniable law, the citizens of this
universe placed a very surprised and confused MacBlank
in charge of
Placeton. As it was custom for every mayor of Placeton to select an
animal representative of themselves and their reign, MacBlank chose the
bear. MacBlank shortly realized that he was a horrible mayor in that he
totally lacked leadership qualities. The professor became determined to
create an “opposite” duplicate of himself, one with total leadership
qualities, so that he could better rule Placeton. However, MacBlank
created a total opposite, evil, duplicate of himself, effectively
creating a “Light” Bear
and a “Dark” Bear. Dark Bear was eventually
contained and eliminated, but the entire incident left Light Bear in
utter shame, and he resigned his post and removed himself from the
community. Meanwhile, in the Mushroom World, the friends of the
“Creator,” for their own purposes, decided to hold a sceance to
communicate with their dead friend. Their psychic, however, wasn't very
good at communing with the dead, and ended up creating a portal in the
comic world to the Mushroom Kingdom instead. It was this portal that
MacBlank stumbled upon, bringing him to this new world. MacBlank was
shocked to realize that the one responsible for his existence was dead.
The only one out of the group who sympathized for the stickman's plight
was Frank Leonard, a generally aloof but well-meaning Spiky Goomba, who
ended up taking in the confused professor. MacBlank
eventually settled
into the society and discovered his love of video games. It was here
that MacBlank became
introduced and obsessed with Smashtopia and Super
Smash Stadium. Through his all-too-many submissions and suggestions,
the professor managed to sneak his way into the cast of Super Powers,
where he attempts to do what he can to keep the place running and keep
as many people as he can happy. (Written by Light Bear)
Light Bear's Moves: - STANDARD
SPECIAL
- Repel Bolt
- This is what the Self-Defense CaneŽ does best: shoot a
bolt of electricity out. It's close to Pikachu's forward smash, except
with much more range and no charge time. The Repel Bolt also traps in
any foes, dealing more damage and leading to potential combos.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Ascending Voltage
- Holding his cane up straight in the air, Light Bear
releases a bolt of electricity that branches out and attacks anything
in an arc above him. The vacuum that results pulls the very light Light
Bear up into it, making for a minimal height gain (though it's very
effective in simply keeping him in the air).
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Gatling Bolt
- This upgrade to the Repel Bolt allows for small bolts
of lightning to be fired in quick repetition. In one move, Light Bear
releases three thin bolts in a 60 degree arc in front of himself. The
move can be spammed, but the shots are only released at 30 degrees, 0
degrees, and -30 degrees in front of Light Bear. These shots don't have
the same stunning properties as the regular Repel Bolt, but it's made
up by its wider attack range.
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Deflection
- An odd type of counter attack. Light Bear quickly
swings his cane in front of his face, shouting, “Deflection!” Any
projectiles will be sent back from whence it came, and any physical
attacks will be successfully parried. The technique is executed
quickly, so while it doesn't leave Light Bear susceptible for very
long, it's hard to time it correctly.
- FINAL SMASH Moves
- Laser in a Jar
- When Light Bear left his home world, he thought he only
brought along his Self-Defense CaneŽ, so he was surprised to discover
his Laser in a JarŽ rattling in his hat when he first absorbed the
Smash Ball's power. Back in his home world, he designed the Laser in a
JarŽ as a powerful pocket weapon, but it required upwards of 1.21
jiggawatts of energy just to turn it on. The Smash Ball's energy is
more than enough to power it. With the Laser in a JarŽ, Light Bear is
able to aim and fire a quick, powerful beam of pure energy, forcing
away any object with which it connects. Should the laser be aimed
connect with an immovable object, Light Bear will rocket off in the
other direction...
