Heard of at the SSS:
Tortured the losers of some matches in the past.
is Pokemon number 150 in the National Pokedex, with such a
stunning, sparkling display of his near-perfectly maxed out abilities. Mewtwo is a
Psychic-type Pokemon, and a damn good one at that. He can
learn a vast amount of abilities: from the littlest Confusion, to the
greatest Shadow Ball, to the most devestating Hyper Beam. This Pokemon
is the Pokemon.
Now, Mewtwo was created
by human scientists on Cinnabar Island for the sole purpose of
trying to learn more about Mew, a very elusive species that only a few
have actually seen worldwide. Using an eyelash that belonged to a Mew
supposedly living in the Brazilian Amazon, the scientists set forth to
create the perfect Pokemon. After years of mistakes and screw-ups, they
succeeded in creating what they called... Mewtwo.
It was a very large
cat of sorts, with unimaginable strength in both body and mind. It was
like a human in a very large sense... it could even speak and walk
erect. However, it was underdeveloped. As with all clones, it was not
very strong, and therefore, it was a frail, almost fetal-like creature.
When the only friend it had, a clone of the daughter of the scientist
that named Mewtwo, Mewtwo snapped. He began
questioning his existence,
the existence of Pokemon, and most importantly: the existence of
mankind. He went berserk, and destroyed the laboratory and killed all
the scientists, only to be acquired later by an "ally" by the name of
Giovanni. Mewtwo had in
essence joined Team Rocket, a "mafia" of sorts
in the Pokemon World. However, he soon realized even there he was being
used, and immediately escaped, destroying the Team Rocket headquarters
in Viridian City and returning to the island of his birth. It was there
that Mewtwo began to form clones of Pokemon he stole from visiting
trainers, including Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town.
He was trying to prove clones were stronger than the originals, but Mew
miraculously showed up to prove a point. Bested by Mew, and realizing
that Pokemon need humans, and humans need Pokemon, Mewtwo learned the
error of his ways and left to find a paradise for him and all clones to
live their shortened lives. Mewtwo
is no longer evil really, but he
does pop in every so often to show the world that he still is the
strongest Pocket Monster there ever was.
His reasons for joining the SSS coincide with his arrogance greatly: Mewtwo is just trying to prove
that he truly is the most perfect
fighter that was ever created, clone or no clone. Oh yeah, and he's got
some plans for what he wants to do with that Eagleland punk, Ness.
- Shadow Ball
- Mewtwo's famous Ghost-type move where he charges this
ball of dark energy up in his hands and then will launch it, flying in
an erratic manner and causing the target to burst into dark flames.
Some added catches include: there is a major kickback when Mewtwo
launches this attack; the ball can actually hurt people while Mewtwo is
charging it; and the ball will explode when it hits a wall or any other
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Very simple: Mewtwo just disappears and reappears
somewhere else nearby.
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Mewtwo waves his hand in front of him, creating a small
movement of psychic power. If this touches an opponent, they will be
flipped around and tossed lightly doing minimal damage; but if this
touches a projectile, the item or attack will be sent right back, able
to hit a third person now (a person that wasn't the one that hit it
back or the one that originally threw it).
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Mewtwo leans forward and glares, causing a spark to
flash from his eyes; this can daze and stop an opponent, and if used
again while one is already dazed, it will do a considerably strong
- FINAL SMASH Moves
- Mewtwo proves he's the most powerful Psychic Pokemon by
into the air and engulfing the arena in a Psychic Blast. It won't KO
Opponents, but it will hurt a lot!
