Summary:
Link is the
Hero of Time, the savior of Hyrule, wielder of the Master Sword, and
destined owner of the Triforce of-- Wait a minute, how'd we get TWO Links?! One BAAAAAD accident with
the Ocarina of Time, that's how! Link
went on a trip to find himself, and we found this younger, more
impressionable Link
in his place. Then the older Link
returned. Now, we've got two! Personally, I think the strain of time
travel is getting to the younger one. See, time is not a straight line,
instead more like a... wibbly-wobbly... timey-wimey ball. I mean, look
at the kid. Originally, he was realistic and properly proportioned.
Now, he's big-headed and cartoony, and claims to be sailing the seas
that were Hyrule. He's not supposed to be from an alternate version of
Hyrule that flooded! In fact, the whole Zelda Timeline is one big
Timey-Wimey Ball!
Toon Link's Moves:
- STANDARD
SPECIAL
Moves
- Hero's Bow
- Toon Link's trusty bow has been upgraded, but it's
still the
same old move. After
nocking one of his seemingly endless
supply of arrows from his quiver, Toon Link can fire the shaft
forwards at a
slight arch, with varying speed and power.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Spin Attack
- Standing in place, Toon Link spins his sword around
him,
sweeping away the competition and sending opponents considerably far.
In mid-air, the spinning sword acts like whirling blades on a
helicopter, giving Young Link an extra boost in his jump. Also, while
in
mid-air, the spin can do combo damage to Toon Link's enemies.
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Boomerang
- Toon Link yanks out his boomerang from its holder, and
whips
it forwards with a lot of power. The projectile will fly forwards a
distance, then make a roundabout and return to Toon Link's grasp. He
can
change its velocity and path easily.
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Bomb
- Toon Link pulls out one of the patented bombs he uses
often
back in Hyrule, and carries it until he decides to toss it at some
unsuspecting victim. However, the fuse is short, and it can blow up in
his hands, so he better hotfoot it and make a decision fast! Also, if a
bomb is thrown too weakly, somebody else can catch it mid-air, or pick
it up off the ground. Toon Link's gotta be careful with this move...
- FINAL SMASH Moves
- Triforce Slash
- Using the Triforce of Courage, Toon Link traps an
opponent.
He then goes into a slashing frenzy, and then sends him or her flying
with a finishing strike!
