Summary:
Zeratul came to SSS
around the end of Season 1, as
Lugia, a legendary Pokemon. Initially hired as an HTML assistant SP, he
soon took over by
default many of the website's critical functions, despite the
protests of those whose jobs he seemed to be taking over. (Most notably
Pat, as Lugia had taken over most of the site's pic-making needs)
Later when VGW left the
stadium, Lugia (now Zeratul)
would be installed
by Jay Resop as the president of SSS, on a simply first-come,
first-serve basis.
Even before he took power at SSS, Zer
was a bit of a control freak. On
several occasions his stubbornness and refusal to change his position
stalled up the progress of the Stadium. In one particular instance, as
the SPs were preparing to introduce Geno
to the fighter ranks, a color
was to be chosen for him; either Navy
or Aqua. In an early vote
the SPs
agreed on the color Navy,
and the introduction match was written as
such. Zer was given the
match to turn to HTML. However, when the match
was uploaded to the web, it was discovered that, without consulting or
informing anyone, Zer had
changed Geno's color in
every instance to Aqua.
When
questioned, Zer
admitted what he had done and refused to
change it. Pat went in and edited the match several times to repair the
change, but Zer
consistently changed it again and again. Eventually VGW
, not wanting chaos to erupt, gave into Zer
and allowed the color to
be Aqua
This trend continued after he was put in charge of the stadium. After VGW left, Jay Resop
intervened and announced that the first volunteer
would be the one to take control of SSS. Zer
volunteered and was given
the power, and wasted no time before canning more than half of the
Superpowers, most of whom had tried to work against him. (These
consisted of Lord Reid, Canadian Yosheh,
Goshi, Pat and others) In
fact he fired every other superpower but Game
Guru, and he hired
the new Flip and
Swordblade. Although this staff was eager and
energetic,
there was one tragic flaw in the mix; the president was nowhere to be
found.
As his pattern of control-freak behavior should have hinted at, Zer
took absolute control of SSS. He allowed no updates to occur without
his review and his approval. All storyline and matches were subject to
editing and interpretation by him. On the Message Board, Zer made him
self the sole admin, which meant no other Superpower had the ability to
delete posts or ban unruly members. Under VGW,
all of these regulations
would not have been so much of an issue; but Zer
was almost never
around to do any of the duties he delegated to himself. Sometimes he
wouldn't show up more than once a month. SMBHQ's constant server
crashes at this time didn't help matters.
So it was in this way that the website grew into a state of disrepair;
pictures and links ceased functioning, entire pages of content were
lost (The whole SSS 101 section was removed altogether, at the behest
of Zer.). The few
original Superpowers remaining at the site, such as Pat and Lemmy,
continually tried to point out to Jay Resop that he had made a huge
mistake in appointing Zer as President; but Jay refused to intervene
again. In time, Pat
was the only original Superpower remaining; all was
not lost, however. Game Guru
, Zer's right-hand man,
and Flip
, were both
beginning to share Pat's
view on the cause of all of the inactivity.
When Zer appeared one
last time out of the blue and left a note on the
Message Board saying he would not appear again for some time, and then
vanished never to be heard from again, that was the last straw. In a
surprising uproar of protest, the fans revolted, and Jay Resop had no
choice but to can him. Pat
was offered the presidential position, but
deferred it to Game Guru.
He is still trying to fix the mess Zer
left behind.
Nothing has been heard from Zer
since his final disappearance. We wish
him luck in his future endeavors, if he indeed has any.
Zeratul's Moves: - STANDARD
SPECIAL Moves
- Warp Blade
- A quick hit that can connect up to three times. It's
rather weak, but it has double function: linking for combos and shot
reflection.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Seiryuu Death Fist
- A powerful move. Zeratul jumps high and then falls down
on his opponents, with a blast radius wider than DK's Down Special
move. However, given its power and radius, it can't knock off, and it
takes a
few seconds for Zeratul to recover.
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Cloak
- As every Dark Templar, Zeratul can cloak. While
cloaked, Zeratul can't get physically hit (not even physical Special
moves).
However, Zeratul can't perform other Special moves while cloaking, and
he
takes more damage from energy attacks (ex he'd take 8% damage from a
blaster shot rather than 5%)
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Force Change
- Similar to Zelda/Sheik's move, Zeratul can change into
his Light Side/Good counterpart, Zero.
Omegaflare Zero's Moves:
- STANDARD SPECIAL Moves
- Z-saber
- A move that can hit up to three times, this variation
trades speed for longer range and strength than Zeratul's Warp Blade.
It also varies in the fact that this one doesn't reflect shots, it just
stops them.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Thunder Sword/Ryuenjin
- Depending on the move used, the effect varies. In both
cases, Zero jumps up. With thunder sword, Zero leaves a stream of
thunder as he elevates, and opponents can crash into it and take
damage. With Ryuenjin, any opponents touched by the attack are burned
(as with the Fire Flower)
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Soul Body
- Zero sends a copy of himself that can take/deal up to
20% damage. Zero must wait 10 seconds in order to use the soul body
again, and Zero is ot invulnerable while this move is working.
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Force Change
- Turns into his "dark" side, Zeratul.
