Summary:
Knuckles the Echidna is the last surviving member of the ancient
Echidna tribe, entrusted with the duty of protecting the Master Emerald
and, to a lesser extent, the Chaos Emeralds. Knuckles usually spends
his days standing in front of the Master Emerald, making sure nobody
attempts to deface it. Knuckles is, however, easily fooled, a flaw Dr.
Eggman has taken advantage of many times. Knuckles first met Sonic
under the assumption that he was trying to steal the Chaos Emeralds.
Eventually, Knuckles figured out that he had been tricked and helped
Sonic defeat Eggman. Shortly thereafter, Knuckles, with his friends
Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon, and Mighty the
Armadillo, defeated Eggman at his base, Newtrogic High Zone, on a
newly-raised floating island. Knuckles has had to recover the shards of
the Master Emerald several times: once after Chaos 0, the water being
inside it was unleashed, and then again after Eggman tried to steal it
for his own purposes on the Space Colony ARK. Although Knuckles' duty
is to the Master Emerald, he will occasionally leave his post to aid
Sonic and Tails on
more important quests, like stopping Metal Sonic or
an extremely powerful fire demon. Knuckles has little time for
incompetence and cares more about the problem at hand than the
unessential details. Whatever the problem, Knuckles' two fists are more
than enough to get the job done. (Written by Light Bear)
Knuckles'
Moves: - STANDARD
SPECIAL
Moves
- Maximum Heat
- Knuckles charges an attack as long as the button is
held. If close enough to an enemy, Knuckles will fly at them with a
punch attack; otherwise, if Knuckles is not close to an enemy, Knuckles
will go into gliding mode. This attack can deal up to 20% damage. This
attack can be charged infinitely, and Knuckles can walk around while
charging, but he moves very slowly and cannot jump.
- UP SPECIAL Moves
- Spiral Upper
- Knuckles suddenly shoots straight up into the air a
good distance as he rotates 1080 degrees. Any opponents that he makes
contact with will be damaged for up to 18% damage.
- SIDE SPECIAL Moves
- Screwdriver
- Knuckles launches forward, fists outstretched, and
rotates 1080 degrees. This move is similar to Meta Knight's Drill Rush,
except Knuckles' does slightly more damage, doesn't last as long,
covers a slightly larger forward distance, and can only be used
forwards.
- DOWN SPECIAL Moves
- Drill Claw
- If used on the ground, Knuckles burrows into the
ground, where he can stay for up to three seconds before popping
straight up out of the ground. Any opponents that he connects with will
recieve up to 25% damage.
- FINAL SMASH Moves
- Super Knuckles
- With a cry of "Let me show you my TRUE power!" Knuckles
uses the Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Knuckles. As Super
Knuckles, Knuckles' fur flashes between a red and a white color, with
sparkles trailing behind him. Super Knuckles is a bit like Super Sonic,
except for four key differences: one, Super Knuckles is a bit slower
than Super Sonic; two, Super Knuckles deals a bit more damage than
Super Sonic on contact; three, Knuckles' super form doesn't last as
long as Sonic's; and four, if Super Knuckles collides with a wall at a
fast enough speed, the entire terrain of the stage will shake, dealing
high amounts of damage (upwards of 40%) to anyone touching any part of
the stage.
