Yes, folks; you did read that correctly. Daffy Duck and Dan Moore did fight against each other. But how did these two become the main stars? Let's take a look.
Ever since the message board came up, Dan Moore did his usual thing of ranting about Falco and stuff. Daffy Duck, a newcomer to the site, had some problems with Dan (as did everyone else). The message board was so cluttered (and the fights were so annoying) that I, VGW Man, intervened. A match was assigned for 2/18/2000 at 5:00 PM EST, and it would be broadcasted live via IRC. The stage was set...almost.
Daffy submitted his moves to us (the Frisbee Throw, the Upward Spin Kick, and the Body Slam), but Dan never told us what he wanted. At 5:00 sharp on the 18th, we (me, Lemmy, and Patrick) started the match with only two in attendance (Come on, people! We could use some support!).
The two people that were there (hferg and Tomintul) chose the stage and Dan's moves via number system. Each person chose a number; whatever matched on my list determined what Dan would get. Dan ended up with Yoshelly's moves, and the fight was set for Planet Zebes. There was an extra stipulation that some people have forgotten. The winner would become an honorary member of the SSS Staff; the loser can't submit anything to us or to the message board until April Fools.
The stage was set; and the battle was on. Lemmy tried to interfere once or twice, but I had an Abra with me that Teleported Lemmy back to the commentating booth and Dan away from Lemmy's danger. However, the lava was one danger that didn't disappear. After a little communication break, the match continued.
All three of us sent pokéballs down to the field, but the pokémon that came out weren't...well, it was unexpected. Dan got the pokéball I sent out and out came...Electabuzz?!? Daffy got Patrick's ball and Magmar came out. A Scyther came down later and started Cutting both fighters. Lemmy's Torch (Charizard) was flying around the arena, using what I believe was either Ember or Flamethrower.
After the poké-confusion, it was hard fought to the end, when Daffy won by about a tenth of a second. The ending was much like Match 2's ending, but everyone would probably agree that Dan deserved to lose.
During the match, the mysterious Yoshi contacted me again, saying that he'd captured more fighters while the fight took place. A name was finally gotten out of him; Killer. It was Killer who has been capturing the SSS fighters. We know that Killer had to have some sort of help in capturing the fighters; I'm thinking that there is someone else who is very evil who'd help Killer. However, Killer couldn't get any fighters since "the fight went too fast".
Okay, so the first ever live fight didn't quite work out the way I expected it to work out, but it was still fun. Another fight like this will probably be done again. Also, Daffy Duck is temporarily with us. A bio page of him will be made shortly. If you wish to react to this match, go ahead and do so.
