Sonic: Nice day, isn't it, Digmeister?
Digi: Um...if you like standing on a commentary tower hovering above a planet covered with acid! Okay, enough of that! Tonight's match involves newcomer Pit against Samus Aran. You can view Pit's bio here. Oh, by the way, according to old Nintendo lore, they were the brainchild of some Japanese dude, and--
Sonic: He's no dude. That'd be Gunpei Yokoi.
Digi: Thanks, forgot the name.
Sonic: And he also created the D-Pad.
Digi: That was him?
Sonic: Yeah, now shaddup, the fighters are supposed to get on any minute.
Digi: Okay. But you said you were gonna do the rules.
Sonic: Right, so anyways, we wanted a fair fight, which means no items, and we also decided to do a Time match, something not as common, because as some of us know, Digi likes to mix things up. Oh, and there was a coin toss Samus won, so she chose her home arena, Brinstar.
Digi: Sure thing. But the introductions remain practically the same.
Sonic: Of course.
Digi: So, that being in mind, I daresay we get this fight rolling! Hang on for three crazy SSS minutes, folks! The fighters have arrived! This is SSQ's Digifanatic...
Sonic: And Sega's prime-time mascot, Sonic...
Digi: And you know what comes next.
Both D&S: WHO LET THE FIGHTERS OUT? WE DID!
Sonic: Has anyone asked you that the Baha Men could really sue you big for that?
Digi: No one's really cared. START THE MATCH!

Sonic: Pit starts stage right, Samus stage left. They meet at the center as predicted and Samus thrills the crowd with a big first strike, a downward smash to Pit as he crashes into the center platform!
Digi: Oh, Ms. Aran has him in a huge jam with a big grab, taking him over to the far right end of the arena! Pit, however makes it back relatively easily with a float of his Feathers, but doesn't have the chance to hit Samus.
Sonic: Pit, however, catches her off guard as she comes down and gives her a smack of his Pegasus Wings! Now they start engaging eachother in close-range combat.
Digi: Samus still has the upper hand as she lands a few punches, but the angel comes back to grab her right at the chest, and flings her upwards!

Digi: Now it's Pit's turn to get dirty--in a combat related way, mind you--as he hits her with a punch and then a shot from his Bow for a little damage and then heads back to the area where he started from.
Sonic: Samus looks right at him and charges a shot, but he puts up his Crystal Protector right before he was going to be hit! He knows how to use that real well. He's waiting to let it unleash on her.
Digi: They meet towards the center, but the acid's starting to rise now. They have to be careful if they don't want to get singed! Pit is ready to rush into Samus, but she dodges out of the way. He still has the advantage, but also accidentally broke that goo platform...whatever it's made of!
Sonic: We'll find that later. Anyways, Pit recovers and tries to unleash his power on Samus... she retaliates with a missile, but that becomes of the crystal power as well!
Digi: This is pretty nice for so far! Samusdesperately tries to smash him, but knows that she's in trouble! Pit pulls off an air dodge and dodges a punch attack that would break his Crystal Protector, but she manages to get him from behind anyway!
Sonic: Pit is raging mad as he charges a smash attack while back on the ground! He let it go and she is sent flying to stage left! This match is still close, though.

Digi: The acid/lava/whatever is almost at its peak! Both fighters are hit by it simultaneously!
Sonic: The damage count is gonna skyrocket! Pit, being lighter, is gonna pay the most with two hits; Samus also takes two, and Pit barely hangs on...Samus uses this to her advantage as she throws him away easily!
Digi: Pit comes back as the acid recedes back to its original level, which is just below the blast line. He uses his short invicinibility for a huge advantage, retaliating harshly with a shot from his Bow and a wing slam! She's out!
(quick pause)
Sonic: And she's back.

Sonic: Now, they fight towards the top half of the arena, crowding over one platform towards the left. Pit gets in a couple of punches and a kick before Samus grabs onto him and sends him flying!
Digi: That only gives Pit the chance to give her a downward spiraling roundhouse just before she can manage to roll away from it! I wish there were items, but we have to be fair.
Sonic: Now it's time for Samus to get revenge on Pit, and does so with a point-blank missile shot. Pit sets up his Crystals for the next shot, though, making them work again..
Digi: Now he rams her with the crystals, dealing an important blow! She's sent towards the bottom, and Pit does a quick taunt.
Sonic: He sees Samus coming, fails to block her upward Smash in time! He got nicked just before he put up his shield!

Digi: Samus is holding her own easily so far, as we hit one minute to go.
Sonic: Pit now needs a huge attack to succeed, as the lava lurks below them and us.
Digi: I just hope we have enough fuel for this thing to hold up.
Sonic: Me too.
Digi: So Pit fires a couple shots from his Bow, missing wildly on the second shot, but Samus still takes a hit. Now Pit rushes to Samus and starts charging his Feathers...he's blowing Samus off!
Sonic: It's not for much damage, though. I think he's trying to kill time. A very wise manuever.
Digi: Now is when you start playing defense. This battle is tied, and if you let your opponent breach your defense, it could mean the end of the match. Pit looks for an open space to hang onto to prevent Samus to escape the lava before it crispy fries her! She lands on another aerial platform in time, though.
Sonic: Pit finds this too easy for him! He slams into her with the Wings of Pegasus!
Pit: Yellow acid stages give me WIIIIIIIIIIIING POWER!
Digi: Oh no, I hope Red Bull doesn't find out. They'll be insanely angry.
Sonic: Watch Samus! She barely makes it back as Pit leaps to the top platform!

Sonic: This looks like Pit's match to steal. Samus gives him a downward kick, sending him towards the acid! But the match remains even.
Digi: Now Pit looks for open space, but is surprised by a Drop Bomb. He's quick on his toes, though. He jumps and gives Samus another blast from the Wings. This could finish it! She's sent flying!

Sonic: Now Samus has only a little time time to kill Pit and tie the match! She's gotta be quick! She readies a Charge Shot and fires, but Pit puts up his Crystal Protector! This is practically the end!
Digi: But somehow she does a running smash at Pit right before he can use the Crystals to protect himself! He's sent off to the right, but will there be enough time to keep him alive? Yes!

2nd-Samus: 0% -1 (1 KO, 2 TKO)
Sonic: Now that was a close ending. How about we get to know what these fighters thought about that fight?
Digi: Sure thing.
Sonic: Alright, we have Pit with us. Pit, you had yourself a crazy fight out there. Also, you were the first one to be KO'd. How did you manage to nail two consecutive KOs against one of the strongest fighters in the Stadium?
Pit: I dunno, just managed to get in a couple of important hits and barely beat the time limit. For a while, I'm sure this would have had a sudden death round, and it almost did.
Digi: Do you think people will be looking up to you for the way you managed to pull this off?
Pit: Of course. But I gotta hand it to Red Bull. Hey, speaking of, where is mine? (behind him)
Sonic: RED BULL 'N' VODKA! GET YOUR BULL 'N' VODKA RIGHT HERE! YES, IT GIVES YOU WINGS!
Pit: He exploited my secret!
Digi: Sonic, this is not a bar setting. Second, I think the Red Bull was a joke.
Pit: Well, of course it...is...(sees his wings shriveling) whoa. (reappear like magic) Just kidding. Anyways...(runs towards Sonic)
Sonic: Do you have any idea who I am? (blasts off like crazy to where Pit can't see him)
Digi: (facepalms) Why did I ever apply for this job...ah well, pays good and ya get to know a lotta cool people. Anyways, for the questions:
1) Does Sonic really want to exploit fighter secrets?
2) Is Red Bull really that good?
3) Does Pit seem to be a bit cheap so far?
4) Do you think Pit would have died being 10 more seconds on the clock (remember, the lava/acid/whatever was rising)? If so, who would've won the sudden death?
5) is it acid or is it lava?
