Match #22

The Question: Who is the best space hero from the future?

Fighters for Sector Z (Mario Party rules)
Player 1 Player 2 Player 3

The Background: There are many reasons behind this Mario Party match-up. One is for historical reasons; Mario Party 2 for Nintendo 64 was released today, so Powers (& everyone else on the staff) figured that it would be a good idea to commemorate that event with a Mario Party style match. Personal vendettas are another reason why this match is going to happen. Each of these three fighters thinks that they are the best. Even though Fox had about three hours rest after his previous match-up, he thinks he's ready. Furthermore, this match will last for five minutes. Why this match is in time mode is beyond me; that's all that he told me. However, I do know that the combatants are ready to fight, so I think it's time to LET THE CARNAGE BEGIN!!!

Each fighter used their specialty for the first few seconds; Fox with his blaster; Samus with her grappling hook; Falcon with his kicks. Minor [universal] kicks were then traded between the three, F18 S68 CF55 4:49. Captain Falcon then threw both of his opponents backwards. Samus started charging her blaster when she landed, but the Arwings were coming in. Falcon pummeled on Fox a bit more until the Arwing shot all but Fox. The Metroid Hunter survived; The F-Zero racer didn't; James's son went to pick up a barrel, F66= S111ND= CF0-1 4:25.

Fox threw the barrel where no one could reach it. Samus wanted to hurt her foxy opponent, but was out-foxed by Fox with a Fox Flip Kick that sent Samus to the Fox's den. Captain Falcon then tangoed with Fox while Samus was sailing towards Zebes, F82+1 S0-1 CF38-1 4:15.

When the Metroid Hunter came back, her opponents were still going at it with each other. She used that opportunity to break open a capsule and take the star inside, F98St0 S0St1 CF81St0 3:58.

A stall period ensued, and a stall period isn't good while you are invincible. Fox did land a few kicks on his male opponent while Samus's star power was diminishing, though, F98 S0 CF112 3:43. A lot of stuff happened next: Samus threw Fox towards Falcon, who just Falcon Punched a capsule. A star came out, but Fox landed on it. Samus was charged up and shot her super shot at Falcon, killing him. Fox quickly got in one laser shot as the star power expired, F116+1St1 S6=St1 CF0-2St0 3:30.

Heading towards the right side, screw attacks were in fashion, but of course, lasers and kicks are much more popular these days. Sometimes, you might see Falcon Falcon Punching Metroid Hunters to the void, but that doesn't happen everyday (remind me NOT to be a tour guide), F151+1 S0-1 CF64-1 3:10.

When Samus came back, she broke a capsule, containing a star. Falcon, though, wanted a KO--he got one off of Fox, F0= S0-1 CF88= 3:00.

Plenty of charge attacks were being used by all three adversaries, but all of them forgot about the star; it's too late to get it now, F52 S49 CF108 2:42. Everyone then decided to use slow, but powerful, attacks. Captain Falcon in particular loved to Falcon Dive his opposition, F117 S76 CF117 2:25. Samus was again charging her shot while the other two boys were fighting over her (?). After the charging was done, she used a kick-to-wall-and-back-to-Samus-for-flame-thrower-combo (AKA: the Kick Back Flamethrower Combo), F149 S82 CF176 2:11. Falcon was quickly fire-foxed by Fox; that allowed the foxy fox to break open the capsule and get a star. The F-Zero Racer was sent home, while Samus only received a minor bruise (a bruise on armor?!?), F149+1St2 S88-1St1 CF0-1St0 2:00.

Captain Falcon threw another capsule. At the same time, Samus threw Fox towards that same capsule. Fox ended up getting the star and doing some damage to his female opponent while breaking the shield of his male opponent, F152St3 S101St1 CF0St0 1:42.

Samus was throwing a crate that fell, and another star came out. This time, though, Captain Falcon grabbed it and did some damage to his adversaries in the process, F197St3 S133St1 CF20St1 1:14.

A game of paper-rock-scissors was played between each of the fighters; Falcon sweeps Samus, Fox shoots Falcon, and Samus (when she came back) throws Fox, F209 S149ND CF30 1:06. Another capsule was broken, and Fox grabbed yet another star. Meanwhile, Samus was tossed into the Arwing's shooting range by the F-Zero racer, but then Falcon was attacked by the invincible Fox, F209+1St4 Samus-2St1 CF87-1St1 :50.

Captain Falcon was quickly double-teamed, but he fought back and destroyed [the now non-invincible] Fox in the process, F0= S5-2 CF107= :44.

Fox came back with a vengeance, delivering unanswered damage to Samus. Falcon, though, went away from them and towards a barrel. He accidentally threw it to the right instead of the left, and the result ended up with him hurting himself, F0 S43 CF153 :32. Fox tried to get the star, but only knocked Captain Falcon into it. However, even though Fox was nimble, Samus wasn't quite as fast, F0St4 S88St1 CF166St2 :15.

Falcon was losing his invincibility quickly. Samus shot Fox towards a barrel, but he threw it the wrong way. However, Falcon was nearby--a little too nearby. His final life was swept under his feet by Fox just before the buzzer.

Post-Match:

Mash is at it again...

Mash Toady, interview extraordinaire, quickly went to Fox to see how he feels of victory. "Tell me, Fox, how come you lost your tag-team battles with DK, and yet shine in singles competition?"

"Don't ask me, for I don't know. What I do know is that DK will need some training quickly. And I don't think that Cranky Kong can do anything about it; he's too old, and I'm surprised he's living."

"Okay...anyway, how does it feel to actually win a match?"

"Stupendous! I finally won a match and taught Samus a lesson. Never mess with anyone who has an Arwing. Falcon? While I was a bit unsure of your fighting condition at the beginning, you sure surprised me near the end. I have to give credit where it's due, and Falcon deserves some credit for being the dark horse of this fight." (Falcon's fans cheer)

"Okay, thank you for your time, Fox."

    "No problem." (he leaves)

Who will get caught on tape?

Meanwhile, at Powers's office, Prince Lemmy Koopa, Patrick V, Kyle Orland, Powers, and myself were watching a security video that was placed in the men's locker room. Everything was going all right...until now.

Wrong locker room, Zelda.

Link was just finished with his training session, and was about to leave, when some one entered. "Oh. Hi, Shiek."

"SHIEK?!?" I screamed. "Powers, Shiek is really Zelda's male identity! Get her out of that locker room!

"I'm working on it!" Powers told us. (alarm sounds) "Okay, everything is taken care of. She'll be caught in fifteen seconds."

What he didn't expect, and I did, was that Shiek/Zelda used some magic item, that when thrown to the ground, makes her disappear. Link went with her.

"WHAT?!? How did she do that? She can't just disappear!"

"Let me remind you to play Zelda 64, okay, Powers?"

"EVERYONE GET OUT!" (We all left except Powers. However, I eavesdropped on what Powers said next.)

My name is Man. VGW Man. (James Bond joke)

"My plan is obviously not working. My goal was to make these people married and force them to have kids so that they will be unable to fight. Once that was done, I'd be able to take the championship belts away from them and sell them for cash. I can't believe I'm failing Giovanni--"

I left at that moment, and then went to look at the New Character Poll. Ash Ketchum's name was taken off, meaning that he'll be coming to the SSS soon. But, the question becomes...when?

What did you think of this match? Did you think that Captain Falcon deserved that win? Will someone overthrow Powers and become the new president of the Super Smash Stadium? Is Link a player (with girls)?!? Head here and cast your reaction.
